UML Forms Multiple Committees to Prepare for 11th General Convention

Kathmandu: The CPN (UML) Secretariat meeting held on Thursday has formed various committees to facilitate the party's upcoming 11th general convention, scheduled for December 13–15 in Kathmandu.
Following the meeting, UML Deputy General Secretary Pradip Gyawali informed that a General Convention Secretariat has been formed under the coordination of General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel, with Prithvi Subba Gurung as secretary and Yogesh Bhattarai as a member.
Additionally, the party has formed several key committees:
-Mass Mobilization Committee: Coordinated by Pradip Gyawali, with Rajan Bhattarai as secretary.
-General Convention Representatives' Management Committee: Coordinated by Kashinath Adhikari and assisted by Secretary Madhav Dhungel.
-Residence Management Committee
-Food Management Committee
-Transport Management Committee
-Reception Committee
-Publicity Committee
-Volunteer Management Committee
The UML has also revised criteria for selecting national convention representatives. As per Gyawali, two additional quotas for women representatives have been added each for Pravasi Nepali Manch, India and Pravasi Nepali International Manch, ensuring broader participation in the general convention.
